Power Translator Deluxe analyses each sentence in your document, finds words and phrases in its dictionaries, then translates the entire sentence as a whole. This sentence-by-sentence translation is much more accurate than the word-by-word translation used by some programs. Modifying the Dictionaries To improve the quality of draft translations, you can easily add or change words and phrases in Power Translator Deluxes dictionaries. After you have updated the dictionaries, the program will translate your document more accurately. Dictionary Organisation Within each standard dictionary there is an English Single-Word Dictionary, a Spanish Single-Word Dictionary, an English Semantic Unit Dictionary and a Spanish Semantic Unit Dictionary. (A semantic unit is a phrase or combination of words that has a special meaning.) Note: Any changes that you make to the dictionaries are actually stored in what are called user dictionaries; original entries are stored in what are called the general dictionaries. Although your changes take precedence over original dictionary entries, they do not actually affect original entries. When Power Translator Deluxe translates a word or phrase, it first checks the user portion of the standard dictionary for any changes you may have made.
